Who knew...

...there was so much to do to prepare for going abroad! I knew I would have to pack this week and that would be a challenge, but I got home from Maryland and a weekend visit with Dave at West Point on Sunday night, crashed, and awoke Monday to realize I had many things to do even aside from packing in order to prepare. There's cell phones to register, flights to confirm, paperwork to get in order, loans to deal with, and the list just goes on. But luckily I am managing to get in some relaxation as well while I am here in Connecticut with my parents.

Also, as my date of departure (this Saturday!) approaches I am definitely feeling more at ease with the fact that it's almost here. Sure it's still a little nervewracking because I know it will be a big adjustment, but I am definitely ready to go. The school year is starting in Georgetown, but I'm not there, which means I must be headed off to do something else, and that's almost here!

Even packing in itself is going to be a challenge. I am going to attempt the unenviable task of fitting everything in my life that I want for the next 10 months into one suitcase (it's not even that big!) so I can bring a collapsed duffel bag for things I acquire while in Florence. I am only going to bring my absolute favorite clothes and probably have to go without some items that I would want to have with me were space not an issue. My plan is also to add to my wardrobe once I get to Italy, seeing what they are wearing and all of that. But I have 3 more full days to do it so hopefully I can manage...

Alright I'd better get to more listing and laundry so I don't fall behind!
